Dear L0_collegues, during the last LHCb week we agreed on a way to proceed towards our first milestone: deciding on the baseline solution for the L0-trigger implementation in March 1999. To get the ball rolling I need to know roughly from each group what their plans are till say March next year, and who is working on what. I would like to know especially if a group already has somebody working on one of the items listed below:

. Total L0 latency . Synchronization issues . Real estate: Frank Harris is prepared to look into this for all implementations. He will start in the 2nd half of October. . Cal/muon layout viewed from trigger, especially mu1. . Sensitivity of algorithms: Ivan Korolko is prepared to look into this for the cal-triggers.

During the next LHCb week (Nov 30- Dec 4) I would like to have a first status report on the issues mentioned above. Hence: we need about 4 persons. If somebody is interested, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss.

Regards, Hans Dijkstra.
